I have a TV in the bedroom mounted on the wall opposite my pillow at about 6' height at the bottom with an off button on the remote. Pretty simple to operate.

I think there are actual studies that confirm that it is in fact true.

Wall in front of the bed. Basically can lay in bed and look straight at it

The bedroom is for 2 things.
Watching TV is not one of them.

It's on the wall at the foot-end of our bed. What the hell is wrong with you, son?

bedroom is purposed for sleep, massages and sensual-sexual intimacies.
TV & the part of the brain that thinks is turned on in living room.
We have a great couch.
IF I had a TV in the bedroom it would be in front. ceiling is a clever idea too.
I have a lot of pillows so I can read, so in front would work for me, but if you lie flat, on the ceiling makes sense.

In the den.

On a side wall mounted on a swivel. I just pull it out towards the bed at night then put back flush against wall when done.

I've never had a TV in the bedroom.
That room is for sleeping, sexy time and storing clothes.
I don't eat food in the bathroom or store tools in the kitchen but I will nap during the afternoon in a few other rooms besides the bedroom.

F that. I'd have to take down the mirrors.
Get with the times old man. You need to replace those mirrors with a TV and a couple cameras.

Sorry you'd rather watch Colbert at the end of the day than munch box and get butt.
