It's a metal pan for grilling oysters. Wondering other uses

I just use an old cupcake pan and call it a day.
Way cheaper and obviously you can use it to make cupcakes

I wish I had a suggestion.
Is it pretty? Can you display it somewhere in the kitchen?

Never seen the device you're talking about, please share if you don't mind.
IMO, there's no replacement for fresh shucked oysters but I've found myself reusing the deep side of oysters I've shucked previously. As mentioned before, muffin tins can work in a pinch but you need to make sure the flame up can reach the oyster/ butter if you want it to be close to how restaurants do it.

I had problems with the real shells being un-level allowing the sauce would spill out. I saw the disposable crab shells made out of think aluminum foil at a local grocery store and though this might work. It does.

Get an old pan and fill it 1/2" deep with rock salt. Works really good.

That looks nice enough I'd keep it out myself as a decorative piece. But if wanting to use it for other stuff try recipes written for cupcake pans and just keep in mind some stuff isn't feasible. Try mini crab cakes appetizers, potato cup frittatas (think hash browns making a little "cup" and filling with egg batter), etc.
Even less useful, I have these stainless steel oyster shells: LINK
They work really well and I like that the fire has a better chance of really charbroil well, but they're not very versatile.

You can see some other ideas for use here. Recipes, etc.
Also you can see the conceptual idea behind trying to save the costal erosion.
