I think it should be noted that we can't lump every single black person into this. Like every race, there are many hard working good people who are black, but with that said, there is a problem within the urban black areas. When slavery ended, most, if not all, slaves were uneducated so there have been many generations of black families who have remained poor and uneducated.
Today, everyone has the same opportunity to get an education and a successful career. Are there still situations in which a black person doesn't get a job because they are black? Sure, it happens, but on the other hand there are people who get jobs or get into certain schools because they are black.
In reality, if you are a good person with strong family values and contribute to society, people will respect you no matter what race you are. There will always be people who will only see race, but it doesn't matter who you are, everyone has people who dislike them for whatever reason.
If there is a black person who has his/her own business and provides great service, is the best at what they do, etc is there anyone on this board who will refuse to use them just because they are black?

There is a lot of talk about black head coaches and the NFL. I dont sit in meetings with owners, so I don't know exact process of how the go about hirung and interviewing.
But how I see it. Are as many black men putting their name out there that are qualified to be the head coach as white men? And if not, wouldn't it make sense there are more white head coaches?
Maybe they have these stats. But I kind of get tired of the racists non sense without any actual facts to back it up.

It's the family structure. It all starts with that. Trying to understand it myself. You have to overcome your odds, whatever they may be.

Yes you did lol. You told him to gp out of his way to offer advice, with the intention of improving someones life.

The war on poverty is systematic racism..

How would you know? You know what its like to be white in your situation. You dont know what its like to be black. So you cant compare the two experiences and sufficiently prove the advantage of one.
Thats the thing. Some black people will tell you you have no idea what its like to be black. But they sure as shite will assume to know what its like to be white, and JUST KNOW everything would be better for them if they were white.

Southern white conservative man's opinions on how blacks should feel about racism is as irrelevant as a man's opinion on what tampon is best for women to use.

Is helping someone that complicated? frick. The guy's looking for work, he clearly hasn't had anyone tell him how this is done. I'm not saying he needs to quit his job or drive to a community center to volunteer. Just take 5 minutes and tell the guy some quick tips to improve his chances.
Surely someone has done something similar along the way for you?

I've already pointed to the studies on race and poverty. There are rich and poor people on both sides, but the disadvantages are more prevalent, more often, for blacks and Hispanics than it is for white babies. That is the problem with the cycle.
If you're born without a father, it will be tougher. If you're born without any financial stability, it will be tougher. There are plenty of success stories from all races that overcome those challenges, but many do not. It also happens to be that black and Hispanic children find themselves in that situation for more often that white children.
We can blame the parents, and we should, but the child didn't ask for any of that. He or she is now behind the eight ball from jump street.

My father, mother, or a teacher. All people who have a personal or financial obligation to do so.

How old are you?
You've never received any bit of advice or guidance from anyone outside of the home or classroom?

They might be behind some people, but they arent just like inherently fricked or anything. Is a lack of advantage the same thing as a disadvantage?
I dont think so. See I cant run fast or jump high. Thats not a disadvantage. Thats the lack of an advantage. However, having no legs would be a disadvantage.
Ill admit that i have advantages in my life. And i dont have some. However, that has nothing to do with anyone but me. Im not a litmus test.

I played organized sports, went to church, and was part of several extra-curricular activities. So yes, adults that were in charge of these events often advised me on certain things. As they were invested in me.

I guess my question then is, in your opinion, you must be invested in that individual's success to provide any bit of insight or guidance to them?

My black neighbor in the six bedroom six bath house must have forgotten to be systematically oppressed. In reality, he works 6 to 7 days a week and is forced to take vacations by his company. Point is if you work hard in this country, you can make it with or without white skin.

Can we just have a Race Board please
Will they allow all types of racially insensitive words/phrases/pictures/videos/gifs? If so, that would be the best board on the site bar none.

TL;DR
Nothing like a cracker explaining how things works for black people. Based on your experience, of course.

Nah of course they're not inherently screwed over just by being black, but the point still stands that they're at a disadvantage and/or don't have the same advantages on average.
You can discuss the reasons for that forever, but without knowing anything about the social or economical dynamics of the family-to-be, are you putting your money on the white baby or the black baby?

I love when black people hide behind the "you don't know what it is like" excuse. Well just keep refusing to look at the intrinsic problems bc it is obviously doing a world of good.
