there are systems out there that he can thrive in and be successful.
Which is why they have been looking at trades. The Pelicans do not want to run a system that suits Tyreke.

And frankly, based on most of what can be surmised about teams around the league, neither do most teams.

Yeah I remember when Tyreke Evans hit that game winning shot against OKC and then went off on the Spurs in the final game of the season to get a playoff spot. Following a season where he had historical great advanced statistics.
..Oh wait, that was this other guy on the team. what was his name again?.. Oh yeah! Anthony Davis. Forgot about him.
You're right he put up 22/16/10 vs okc that game and 19/11 against the Spurs.

Yeah, too bad the other guy put up:
31/13/2; 3 blocks, 2 steals v SAS
41/20/3; 2 blocks v OKC

Evans pumpers have always had a skewed view of reality.
I mean it makes sense. It's the only reason they can go on thinking Evans is some great player.
Evans was certainly a component of that playoff run, but to say he is the sole reason is an abuse of history. Qpon, AD, career years out of a few bench guys and Asik finally stepping his game up a bit post allstar were all factors. No one wins on their own. But if we are crediting the most to any one player, it goes to AD. Full stop.

He wasn't the sole reason he was a key part.

Will y'all stop arguing over whether or not Tyreke is a productive NBA player? That isn't the issue here but it is what y'all always end up arguing over. The issue is will Gentry change his scheme for Tyreke or will Tyreke change his game for Gentry. The answer to both questions seems to be no, so there's no point clinging to Tyreke being the "2nd best player on the team." That team died when Loomis fired Monty and let Demps replace him with Gentry, and Tyreke's status as the "2nd best player" died with it.

Amen.
Issue w/ Evans isn't ability. He will put up numbers; the context in which he gets those numbers is where the problem lies in NO and across the league

Tyreke's stat line from that game:
22 points
16 assists
10 rebounds
No big deal, just a triple double. He had nothing to do with that win i guess.
He had 19 and 11 in the last game against the spurs.
Of course we made it b/c of AD, but that team was AD and Reke, not just AD. It was also EG/QPon/Cole all shooting the best of their career.
It amazes me how some of you just toss him aside and think he did next to nothing for us.
I'm not trying to make Reke out to be some all star or anything, but he's a starter on most teams in the NBA. You can only say that about him, Jrue and obviously AD on this team.

I can agree with that.

No one is tossing him aside but it was YOU who framed it as being because of one person above all else.
Only YOU did that Teddy.
We got to the playoffs because of the team and if you have to single out any one player it goes to AD first.

I didn't mean it to be he was the sole reason. So my bad for wording it that way.
