A great option if the wife doesn't want a SUV.

so do I. The trunk in the bed is genius.

Only thing I didn't like about the old style was that stupid flare at the end of the truck cab. They were smart to take that off.
ETA: I do like the old front end better, though. However, the new one looks more aerodynamic and might get better MPG.

I just sold my 2007 Ridgeline for a 2016 Tundra. God I miss that trunk.
My ridge had ~220,000 miles and never had a single problem. I only changed the oil and put gas in it. The interior held up great. The paint looked great. I towed bass boats and ski boats from North Carolina to Florida, Louisiana, Texas with no problems. Every single thing on the truck still worked. However, it was ugly as hell.
I followed the Ridgeline owners club for years. The general consensus was that Honda quality has actually declined the past few years (they had some shakeups at the top) and the new Ridgeline may have some of the issues the new Pilot has seen. Time will tell.

It's more car like being it's a Uni-body.

beg to differ, you can fit at least 20 bags of mulch in that thing.

Better than the original, but that is not saying much.
