All of his advanced metrics are down compared to last year and his entire career averages. He's in the same division and it's not like he's coming off injury. Do you think he has mailed it in now that he got his payday or are his mechanics/tendencies messed up?

It's even tougher this year especially with all the good hitting teams in the division *cough cough Yankees suck*

Hes certainly struggling. Its often overlooked, but its really not easy historically common for pitchers to have the same level of success moving from team to team within the same division.

NL has 13 pitchers with a sub 3.00 ERA
AL has 4.

His numbers this year are basically the same home and away.

Price is just not locating as well as he has. He is missing spots more and paying the price (teehee) for it.

Like kuechel when he misses he misses up in the zone and gets pounded. He has to keep the ball down

Yeah, his strikeout rate and swinging strike rate are both career highs. Both his BABIP and HR/FB% are unusually elevated, which points to bad luck. On the other hand though, he is giving up a higher percentage of hard contact than in past years, so it probably isn't all just bad luck.

When he gets hit, it's hard. There was some local chatter of the Sox messing with his delivery early on.

He's definitely regressed but it will normalize at some point I think. He hasn't regressed this much
