Anybody buy this stuff? I had never heard of it until eating at a neighbors house the other night.
Essentially it is what canes toast is made of. Thick, super soft, and I even find it tastes extra sweet. Love it. Buy you a loaf

What we always referred to as BBQ bread growing up was slapping some slices of Evangeline Maid (GOAT bread) on the pit after pulling off the chickens, and basting with Jack Miller's.

I've had it and love it! I get it whenever I see it but not too often in the Metairie area. I've usually gotten it at Leblanc's in Gonzales.

Buy a loaf of brioche or Texas toast, lightly coat one side with BBQ sauce and grill a few minutes sauce down, flip and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese close lid to melt.
Or use Brie pieces in lieu of Parmesan even a light sprinkle of sea salt.
Even better is adding a slice or two of homegrown tomato.

I got mine at leblancs too. It was sitting next to the sunbeam bread. Only reason I noticed it was bc it was on sale.

Pretty much every grocery store in AL sells sunbeam BBQ bread. Surprised that it is not so available in LA.

One time we were having a cookout and some unexpected folks showed up. My dad just threw on some extra slices of white bread thickly coated on both sides with Blue Plate BBQ Sauce.
After a while, someone asked Dad what kind of meat was this he was eating. Damn, I miss Blue Plate BBQ Sauce.

Do this, but with Texas Toast. You'll fill up on just that

Essentially, typically called Texas Toast.
Like someone else said, when you said BBQ Bread, I thought of bread (we always used french bread) basted with Jack Millers and then grilled.

Not sure if that is sarcastic or not, but if not....
It's not your regular bbq sauce. It was all I knew growing up and its still my favorite. Something you just have to try.
