If i was involved in a shooting, my first priority wouldn't be "is my bodycam on". Granted it would be towards the top but I could understand it falling off during the commotion.

Yes. I am sure that in the middle of this life and death encounter the officers silently (because the cameras are recording) gave each other the signal to ditch their cameras. Before the shooting started obviously. Best part is that no one will ever notice when this happens every time.
Anyone who thinks this happened on purpose is an idiot. This is like the people who claim the NOPD officers blocked their cameras during the shooting a couple of months ago. They wear the camera in the center of their chest. Shockingly, when they hold their pistol out in front to shoot, you see the back of the pistol. What the hell are they supposed to do?
