He's only does a movie like once every couple years. It's usually a really good movie with a good director. I kind of like it... Makes me look more forward to his films. If you go to redbox you'll see DeNiro all over the kiosk in a bunch of duds. I wish he was more like DiCaprio. Oh well, guess he's making that money.

Quality>Quantity

I'm sure Money is not a problem for Leo.

If you were slaying supermodels on the reg, wouldn't you only climb out of the saddle when you had to?

I think he is selective as well as his movies taking a long time to shoot (i.e. Revenant)

DeNiros recent choices can't really count when you're comparing him against a Leo in their prime. Not like deniro was doing anything and everything that paid him when he was 40

And no, he shouldn't be doing more movies. He should continue doing exactly what he has been doing the last 15 years

Daniel Day would better fit this question, although he is getting up there in age. Not too yet tho

Actually just looked this up and it does seem he fits that pattern, but since 2000 he's done 16 movies. So 1 a year

What he should do is give that Oscar to Tom Hardy as Hardys acting in Revenant was much better. Came down to it was just Leo's time to win no matter what. The Academy seems to do that ever so often.

I counted 27 since Growing Pains. That's more than "once every couple years."

No. I think most actors should be working less than they are. I like to see people take on projects they're passionate about and give 100%.

Agreed. I think Hardy stole the movie.

He can do 1 movie a year and make 25-30 million of not more with backend and then he can chill in cabin with supermodels for several months. I'd do the same

Whatever formula Leo has used for making movies since 2002ish, he needs to stick to that formula because it's worked flawlessly.

Daniel Day Lewis may be the greatest actor of our generation and he puts a ton of time in between movies. He's very particular about his roles, but it pays off with these great performances. Not a bad trade off.

I can see Leo taking a long break since he got his Oscar.
