He'll, what good is it to be a Baratheon now? House is wiped out and has nothing. Cersai will try to kill him. Same houses that want to replace her will want to kill him.

I think it could be pretty advantageous for Dany to legitimize Gendry, and thus making him the heir of the Stormlands, if he agrees to bend the knee to her. I mean, that would be kind of a huge display to the other kingdoms and houses if the head of the Usurper's house bends the knee, and supports Dany's claim to the throne. And I think it would be a pretty safe play on Dany & Tyrion's part (and probably Tyrion's idea) considering a dirt poor bastard would be extremely satisfied with just gaining the Stormlands, and probably wouldn't even consider trying to make a claim to the throne (especially since it is Gendry).
