I'd add a LB high up the list too...

I think Studge will probably opt to leave, so I think we may need another CF (I don't think Ings is good enough)..

In regards to a midfielder, in our current setup, we miss a Xabi-type that can dictate play from deep... Hendo has done a good job in his new role, but I don't think he has that skill..

I wish we had held on to Allen for this season, but it is also understandable that he deserves regular playing time, and needed to move on.

I'll take your first three Sault....in that order of importance. We definitely need more quality players on the bench that can come in and play our style. Having to move Lallana wide has hurt us badly going forward. JK is going to also have to realize that this league has three Bayern Munichs if not a couple more. Club's are going to actively look to get better every window sometimes with stupid money. I'm not saying that we try to duplicate that (we can't) but we need to improve constantly or get left behind.

nope, it's just Liverpool, at their finest... shite team, shite result...

top 4 seemed like a lock about a month ago, now, it seems like we are just waiting for the inevitable slip to 5th or 6th, missing CL football AGAIN, putting ourselves int he backseat to getting really good transfers that want to play in the CL...

I'm not quite that negative

We still have a lot of favorable matchups, plus our team should hopefully be back to full strength in 2 weeks for the first time in a while

Sadio Mané and Senegal to face Cameroon in the quarterfinals of AFCON. I would really like Mané back, but frick Cameroon after the Matip debacle. Hope they blow them out the water

Alright lads, it's become clear that we need a change in how we are doing things...

I'm taking suggestions for new thread names, and I also bought my first LFC memorabilia (Official YNWA Scarf, 501 Greatest Goals in Club History DVD, and red hoodie with black liverbird printed on front)!

I'm feeling accomplished, thus far, as tOfficial Liverpool Season Thread standard bearer, so I don't want to let this take a turn for the worst... Let's hear some new thread name edit ideas!

favorable matchup... like the one at home vs. swansea? I've learned following this team for a while now, there is evidently no such thing as a favorable matchup for Liverpool... teams that should be run off the pitch seem to bite us in the arse, and teams we should get our asses handed to us by, we play like heroes...

A favorable matchup would be Barcelona. League one teams teams not so much.

I would say Freak AFCON. Its not the continent that's a problem.

Its been awhile since we really controlled a match.

I think that Lallana, Hendo, Can and Wij - all four CAN NOT play together any more. They just can't. We are missing something when we do that. We need to just throw Ojo out wide or see if Origi can play wide, or go with the damn diamond. But those four together takes something away from the team and adds nothing. They do too many of the same things and Lallana being pushed forward removes what he's good at.

helps our defense, but Mane is the biggest void, IMO.... his pace and control going forward puts a lot of pressure on the back line, which we tend to find the cracks in and get shots on goal...

without him, we don't have that forward play like we've become accustomed to...
