Countless insiders on here saying Cabrera was 100% gone and great shot at Enlow and Pearson to come

Enlow blew up last summer, his starts this spring were ok so he fell a little. No one ever said Enlow was coming. Most knew he was gone.

Pearson was more likely to come but apparently they met his asking price.

Stephen Keller is no longer a part of the recruiting class. He will be going to Grayson College in Texas if he doesn't sign with the team that drafted him.

Only reason I thought Jacob MIGHT end up at LSU was his arm being injured previously. Obviously the Angels have faith he will be fine, as do I. When Mike Trout asks why haven't you drafted Jacob Pearson yet, that speaks volumes.

god damn, this class did somewhat fall apart. Reyes, Mccabe, Miller, and the Alabama pitcher jumping ship

eta: a bit hyperbolic on my end, but I just thought our pitching class would have held up a little better

I'm not really referrring to any one individual referring to Pearson. I was more laughing at an influx of random posters who said 100 times that there was zero chance Cabrera was going to LSU

The kid from Alabama that flipped to state was an outfielder.

Johnny Ray, Reyes, McCabe, and Keller were all pitchers. Though I think Reyes could have played a position as well. Potentially Ray too.

Ray doesn't sound like much of a loss. Also I mixed up the Alabama kid with Henry for 2018.

I wonder why Keller jumped ship? Also I just looked at his twitter, and he was a very signable recruit for the MLB. Not one mention of LSU I overlooked that

Not sure on why Keller jumped, couldn't even figure out when. I'm assuming recently, but I don't really know.

We're probably going to have some late additions pop up in the next few weeks. Looks like we're down to around 33 guys.

Who are some notable late additions we've had in the past? I don't know cbb recruiting well enough to know if there are any big names on the board

I'll jump on the Project question bandwagon as well.

How does this years class compare to last years? I get the sense that Cabrera and Storz have more hype around them than guys like Smith and Slaughter?

Notable and late addition don't normally go together. Outside of third base (which Slaughter or Templet could play anyway) I don't see an immediate need, so I don't know if we're going to hit up the JUCO ranks. I could see it happening from a roster management standpoint, I guess. It's probably going to be preferred walk-ons.

The headliners from this year's class standout a little more than Smith and Slaughter.

Overall, we have a really deep class. We've filled an immediate need behind the plate with a Gold Glove defender and a big upside high schooler. We are bringing a ton of pitching depth. Get ready for more wholestaff. It's coming.

Looks like LSU got a new commitment today. I don't know if its a replacement for one of the ones we lost.
