Harris struggled with accuracy at the Manning Camp by Roaadquote: Who caresyou understand a comparison to J-Roc is a huuuuuge compliment, don't you? JR was the best QB in LSU history. And that includes Bert Jones.

You clearly didn't watch the games. Maybe the fact he could throw the ball 100 yards makes you say he was the greatest Qb in LSU history. I would have agreed with you if you said he had the strongest arm in LSU history. Hell Matt Flynn was a better Qb in one year than JR was in the entire time he was starting.

As I said then, of course he didn't take this "competition" seriously. It wasn't serious

...then why even show up?

Because he attended to learn at the CAMP, not the circus sideshow event put on at the end of the camp.

It was said that Eli helped him make some adjustments to his mechanics to improve his accuracy. It takes repetitions to improve that. Maybe he ignored those suggestions during the competition or maybe he was thinking too much about them.

He still has 1-1/2 months of reps before fall practice even starts.

Jordan Jefferson looked awesome every time he attended the Manning Passing academy.

So.. Whatever anyone tries to take from this is usually bullshite.

It is truly amazing how people downplay the significance of a qb doing less than great in accuracy drills when the same qb has struggled with accuracy his whole career. Yet I'm supposed to believe that everything will be all better when September gets here....you people kill me...all this expectation that you build for yourself and let the media build for you....it's turning into some kind of big joke every year.

Wow.
Its 100% freaking FACT.

Some of you are so blinded by your pg glasses that anything anyone says, regardless how logical it is and happens to not be 100% pro LSU, causes you to lose your mind
Sad.

Lol
JR 2006 stats -68% comp. 28td 8 int
12-2 lost to ranked FLA and Auburn on the road
Went 11-1 in 2005 as starter

Flynn 2007 - 56% comp. 21td 11int
12-2 as starter. Lost to unranked Kentucky and Arkansas

Both coached by Saban , Fisher, Miles - 7 NC between them and all had JR start over Flynn

Just saw this video on the 247 site. I'm not saying I think BH didn't have accuracy issues last year (and I'm not sure how much he's improved), but here's Sonny's video from the camp with three of the seven golfcart throws. It's a bullshite measure for determining anything. Let the Manning Camp be what it is supposed to -- developing leadership and comraderie, and passing some things on to the younger kids.

If we were talking about passing drills with LSU receivers and not HS kids and golf carts, it may be a decent point. But this is not a fact. It's a mistaken opinion of the relevance of a garbage passing contest.

Move along.

I love LSU and think they will be a better team this year, and may be able to win a Championship with just decent QB play. But, at the same time I did see Harris at the MPA on the route tree and the billboard (golf cart)throws and Harris is not accurate, just as everyone saw on the short/intermediate throws last year during the season.
Also, if you are a D1 QB and you are throwing against the very best QB's in the country, in front of thousands of people and reporters, you are without a doubt trying. Whoever said he did not care, must be saying he has no competitive fire which is worst.

I am not saying that BH can not be improved with an offseason to polish, but dismissing this information is retarded based on what we already know about his level of accuracy in the past with an above average college level receivers.

No. Dismissing this information is logical, if not necessary, given what we know about golf carts and high school receivers. Its dismissal is further reinforced by the talent level of past winners as well as the struggles current NFL starters had with it.

The fact is, this is not a good test of passing accuracy and should be written off as a carnival game and nothing more.

If you want to decry his accuracy last year, fine. But basing an opinion that he hasn't improved on this "contest" is, as you put it, "retarded."

I'm glad we've made it to the day where we are critiquing camp counselors at a high school skills camp ... Next thing Savage is gonna say is he didn't properly read the lawnmower dropping into coverage and he should have checked down to the girls in the beer cart

Golf carts cannot measure the path of the ball and adjust. How many of you remember how good OJB and Landry made whoever was throwing at them look good? Besides we don't throw the ball anyway.....do we?

So what's the catch radius of a fricking golf cart with a pizza box taped to it these days?
