Last 2 episodes have not followed up E1 very well at all. Just meh.

Yep. I had to re-watch parts of the last episode because I kept dozing off.

I have never been to prison but I have a hard time believing they have open beds in the floor like that.... Seems like too many problems.

They do. Too many inmates not to.

A lot of prisons do from what I have read. It's a way to deal with prison over crowding, which is an issue. It's hard to find sources for how prison cells are on google, otherwise I would provide a link.

This may all be true, but he's not in prison, he's in jail. He's at Riker's Island. He would only go to prison if he's convicted and sentenced I know it may seem like semantics, but I'd bet Riker's is probably the biggest jail system in the U.S.

LINK

Riker's is notorious for being over crowded. I would not be surprised at all if this open floor plan really existed and have a hard time believing the people involved in this show would not do their due diligence. I mean, they went out of their way to get as many actual NYC native actors in the show as they could. I'd like to think they know the sleeping arrangements at Riker's.

The entire series was filmed in NYC. James Gandolfini apparently didn't want to skip on anything.

how about the fact that his inhaler had no blood on it.

From that same scene - The bracelets she was wearing appeared to be clean as well...Possibly placed on her wrist post mortem?

From House of Cards and now this show, I'm starting to hate this guy. I've never watched Boardwalk Empire but at least in these 2 shows, all I can ever think of when he's on screen is "this isn't how real humans would act in situations like this"

Maybe I am completely wrong but I get the feeling this is going to end up not being a "find the clue" show and is more about the process/happenings to everyone involved post murder.

Started off with a bang but ended up slow

My theory (sure others have similar thoughts):
The girl is still alive and the one dead knifed up is a whole separate person. Why Naz would be framed, idk.

Or,
Show ends up with Naz being let free. But in the end, he still murders someone showing he was a murderous little bastard the whole time and probably actually did it.

Rikers in the show looks like camp compared to OPP.

How exactly was he supposed to act in that situation?

The dude plays the same character as every show he's in. Ryan Goseling in Drive. That's all he can play.

It's kinda funny that everyone is like "bodie's friend did it, or the random guy on a motorcycle."

If anyone that we have met on screen is the killer (besides nas) it's definitely the step dad. Potential motive, victims almost always know their assailant, etc.

I seriously laugh out loud that anyone thinks it was the hearse driver or the motorcyclist.

It wasn't the hearse driver, but why couldn't the motorcyclist be the step-dad? Or anyone else we've seen. Could have even been the girl herself. Laughing at that seems somewhat absurd.

I mean it's just theories. Why you find that so funny is kind of absurd at this point.

Maybe he wasn't that attached to Andrea. I'm of the impression that she was a teenager when her mother and him got together.

I don't really get the "He should be acting hysterical and crying in the fetal position" angle that some of you are pushing.

Drug clarification:

Ecstasy was popular decades ago. It is comprised of MDMA and fillers, as the other poster stated. The “fillers” were becoming a much larger portion of the pills, so popularity went down. About 10 years ago, “Molly” made its way through the scene. It comes in powder/rocky powder form and originally was pure MDMA. It was rarely cut with too much stuff because you can tell immediately from the taste and look that it was cut. It was more potent because of this. You ingest it either by putting it in capsules or finger dipping into the bag of powder, which is the fastest way to feel effects and probably the most fun. Eventually, Molly went the way of Ecstasy and began to be cut with too much crap. It ruined the point of even having the powder. About 3-4 years ago, and even moreso this last year, Ecstasy has made a huge comeback and its as strong as ever because people have found ways to press the pills at home for cheap and it can be manufactured in your house instead of a factory in Mexico/overseas. People put their stamps on it and it’s a brand. You know some brands are better than others, like anything else.

Prison clarification:

And for the jail open floor plan, that is very common these days. Over-crowding is a MASSIVE issue in this country because of all the non-violent drug offenders incarcerated. I’ve been to big boy jail for a couple nights (spring break in HS and the charges were dropped) via prison transport, as I stated in this thread, and we had 4 people per 2 person cells. 2 of us had to sleep on these rubber mats called “boats” on the floor. Head on the ground right next to the commode. In the other cell blocks with open middle sections, the cots were everywhere. So crowded you couldn’t walk through them.

Show comments:

As for this show, the eczema thing has to stop. Wtf is this shite? That was an hour of nasty feet. And why couldn’t he just wear socks and shoes when he put on the saran wrap? We need to get back to the story here and the investigation. I think the blood evidence is going to come back with a third party’s blood and help Nas. Box will start to truly believe Nas is innocent, but its too late because he gave the DA the go-ahead to prosecute.

Episode 4 needs to deliver because its starting to lose me. Omar storyline is stupid to me. Lets hear about the fricking case.

The killer always returns to the scene of the crime

It's pretty safe to assume at this point that the knife found on Naz is the same knife from when they were drinking earlier in the night, and probably not the actual murder weapon recovered from the crime scene. I think the killer may have been aware that Naz was downstairs in the kitchen, but indisposed, and may have also noticed the knife sitting on the table next to the limes and shite so they could have intentionally left it there to not necessarily frame Naz, but make it pretty obvious for the police to find when they walk in. Proving if that indeed was the knife used to murder her seems like it'd be easy for any CSI or whatever they're called.
This brings me to my point in the italics. If we're to believe Box is some sort of subtle beast, then he's got to be the one who discovers something at the crime scene that was left behind or some sort of mistake by the killer, and I think he finds it on all the film and photos he took in the last episode. Maybe the killer will have to return to the scene of the crime at some point if they haven't already.
My final thought is about the framing of Naz and the neighbor who reported the break in. I'm not saying the neighbor killed her, but him calling the police at that exact moment sure did help the killer out if they were trying to frame Naz as the killer. I'm not sure how the killer would get away with framing Naz, if she just met him that night, without that neighbor's call. Naz was out the door, and would have likely gotten out of that reckless driving situation if that call didn't come through.
