How's that an uh oh? I'm not pro-police by any stretch of the imagination, but shooting a blank gun in the middle of a crowded movie theater is definitely cause for tear gas and a response.

Vague numbers do serve your argument better. When analyzing gun violence in the US the homicide rate can be diminished rather quickly by changing a few markers, none of those markers have anything to do with gun control laws either.

It's the "gun related death rate", not "firearm homicide rate".
And suicides account for roughly 66% of that total number.
