Sinatra. I seem to pick up on new things to marvel at about his voice, phrasing and shaping of a song every time I hear him. He became his songs just like the best actors become their character.

My favorite singer is Bonnie Raitt, both in her early years, when her voice was pure, and her later years, with her bluesy, whisky and smoke tinged voice.
