Not surprising at all.. They are probably already laying out a barrier option for each beach that wont detract from each general theme.

Smart move. I'll be interested in the new signs, too.

Nah man, the next tragedy and/or outrage is all that matters.

Yeah as others have pointed out, I think your question is backwards. It should be "why are small children where alligators are at?" But the overall point is well-taken. If Disney is smart, their lawyers will do a quick quantum study on similar deaths, and write a check double, or perhaps triple, that amount and give to the family. Disney doesn't want to litigate this case, b/c it's bad publicity, and, they'll lose. There is a lot of evidence to indicate they knew there was an alligator problem, and they really didn't handle it properly. A "No Swimming" sign is not the same thing as, "Danger: Alligators Present!" I mean, there is no intent obviously on the part of Disney to have something like this happen ... that's why they call it "negligence." Which their actions/inactions certainly were.

This is like asking why there are ants in the park where you decided to have a picnic.

So basically they've erected barriers to prevent people from entering the water and installed signs warning of gators and snakes....pretty much what I expected.

I find it hard to believe somebody can build a fence to keep fricking alligators out. Can they climb fences?
probably some PC bullshite to make it more "natural" as if all the plastic shite they cover everything with didn't ruin that idea already
