I've never been, so someone school me on this. Is that little area of water natural or man-made? Has no one ever thought to get alligators out of an area where little kids are in the water? Are they not supposed to be near the water?
I know alligators aren't known to be super predators like they're portrayed to be, but if there's even a chance of them coming into contact with people staying at Disney then I don't see how anyone thought it would be a good idea to have them there.
You are an idiot and as dumb as the kids parents. If you allow your 2 year old to get in water at 9pm in Florida, alone, where wildlife lives, then you deserve any and all shite that happens. 110% blame goes to the parents.

Dad tried to save him which sort of by definition means he was there.

I guess most of you are to young to remember Disney River country on the other side the lake. One of the first water parks at Disney which was mostly in the lake. I think it closed sometime after 9/11

Not a barrier. All will be signs each warning of a different hazard.

No jury in Florida will convict a company because of gators in a body of water.
Is Yellowstone Park responsible for bears?

We had an RV growing up so we stayed at the campground at Fort Wilderness a couple of times and River County was there. It wasn't long after they built Blizzard Beach that they closed RC. Some rumors where there was an amoeba or bacteria. Others just said it was out of date. They definitely had a swimming beach that shared water with the large lagoons. I also want to say back in the day you could swim at the Polynesian as well .

Im not saying im billy badass or anything but frick letting a gator dragging MY son from my hands. Either my son arms are getting ripped off or im alligator turds before my son is. Either 2 dead bodys or zero. Shitty situation either way.

I'm not even sure this is a winnable lawsuit, there were no swimming signs
Was the kid swimming or standing in the water? 2 very different things.

Sadly, you are correct. Just telling folks not to enter isn't enough. You have to force them to not enter.
There was no sign saying "do not enter".

I dont think gators are as weak and easy to control as you claim.

In with Bandit. Idk how the situation went down but I think he had a hand on the gator. I can guarantee that if this happened to my kids and I got a grip on that fricking lizard, I'm the strongest most possessed SOB he's ever dealt with. Gators are everywhere in the south. Disney is in the heart of gator country and those frickers have been knows to squeeze through drainage pipe, cross highways, dig tunnels, etc. would be mighty difficult to keep them out. Best thing to do is put up fences and only allow folks near pools and such. This is terrifying because just a month ago my 3 yr old and his cousins were swinging from a rope into Bayou Pigeion. Being an ole coonass myself, I learned to swim in the bayou and lakes. Closing thing to a swimming pool was Mr. Attales' well when he was pumping water into his rice lakes.
