Because Obama planned it that way.

An awful thought, but were anyone else shot by the police while trying to shoot the gunman? It seems like with him having hostages and so many shots going off, it would be impossible to not shoot others in the process of killing the gunman.

I just can't see how he shot 100 people without being ambushed by the 300 other people in there. It has to be chaotic with all the running.

He had to have been standing somewhere where there wasnt a person around him within 20ft, because there is no way he did this in the middle of the floor surrounded by people/ It would have only take 1 person to come from the back and end it all.

I have literally thought the same thing, with all the people in there, i would hope someone could just sneak behind with a beer bottle or choke them from behind. But i can only assume the shooter was very smart and aware of his surroundings of anyone trying to play hero.. I hate thinking about this but i cant help but replay the events in my head over and over trying to make sense of everything...

Did the shooter kill the security guard in the first exchange of gunfire? I read the linked NYT article but it did not mention if the security person there was killed. I have to assume he was if the rampage continued.

Because it was a false flag operation.

Right that's my point, how did 20 people not come from behind him and take him down. (Man this just doesn't sound right to say with who were talking about)

Do we know what the layout, dimensions, arrangement of tables and chairs of the bar was?

I got some inside information yesterday on this. OPD is in hot water over their delay. They thought that the shooter had a bomb and itvwascan ambush. While they were gathering Intel and planning, many of the victims bled out. There will be a lot of controversy in the future but, the media is keeping it quiet for now.

I'm assuming that the off duty cop that was working front door security and was the first to engage gunfire both was killed and had his gun taken from him? I have not heard or read what happened either way, but I'd hope there wasn't another gun there laying on the ground that no one chose to pick up?

Also just because it was 2am doesn't mean literally all 300 or so people were wasted out of their minds. I bet there were at least 50 people including staff of course that were sober or close to it. Orlando has a ton of service jobs that people don't get off work until midnight or later in restaurants, bars, Disney, etc. so I'd bet a good amount of their patrons on a Saturday night worked that night.

Bouncer wouldn't let them in due to dress code violations.

The agenda has caused many of you to be infinitely ignorant.

That would assume people had any idea where the shots were even coming from.

They literally can't win.

And if they storm in without proper intel and this dude has booby traps and explosives ready and more people die as a result, OPD is in hot water.

It's easy to play Monday Morning Quarterback after the fact. And maybe they did do some things wrong, but I don't think you can make it a blanket statement that they were wrong without us knowing the facts.

There were no officers killed including the off duty officer.

One SWAT officer took a head shot that was deflected by his Kevlar gear.

This.

Very early on it was being reported that they were investigating a "device" or "devices". This was after it was over. I've heard nothing else about a device? Was he bluffing to buy time? Did he go so far as to have a "dummy" device?

I agree. This isn't a campus bar. Most "grown up" bars the customers don't get wasted. Hell they probably had some customers that don't even drink.

I was told that lawyers are lined up to sue them for their delayed response. Many of the victims/families have already lawyers up.

He locked himself in a bathroom with hostages and said he had a bomb

But he only had 4-5 people? Had he already killed and wounded all that he did?

I also heard he exchanged gunfire with the cop that was security that night. I assume they had a cop near the door working security? did that cop injure him in anyway? Did the cop get wounded?
