Wings and More - Government Street (Old Roly Poly)

On Saturday after spending about 3 hours in the attic wiring up some pendent lighting (You're fricking welcome dear!), I was covered in insulation particles and too tired to shower for dinner. We decided to order from Wings and More on Government, where the Roly Poly used to be. We attempted to search out a menu online but there wasn't one anywhere. I begrudgingly went to the place to make our order. I waited for the order which came out surprisingly quickly.
I got a philly cheesesteak, a chicken philly, two kids chicken nugget meals and an order of 10 wings. The sandwiches were good, but I would have opted out of the lettuce on mine (not a fan of heated shredded iceberg lettuce). They don't come with Cheese Whiz, it was provolone for the steak and American for the chicken philly. Standard poboy bread its all heated and wrapped up tightly. The kids nuggets come with 10 nuggets for $6.99 with fries, they weren't fantastic quality but the kids liked them. The wings however were ON POINT! They were a good size and fried without breading (not oven baked like Rotolos). I got the spicy BBQ which was really good there were a few other choices. I will be going back for the wings alone.
The place is a little less than inviting on the inside but I always like bootleg places like this so I think its worth adding to your take out rotation if you are in the area.

My favorite burger in Baton Rouge.

Yes, I am a middle aged Middle Eastern man that doesn't have a restaurant website. You got me.

... i doubt that. It's likely you don't have high Po-Boy standards if you just described a Philly as being made on "Po-Boy Bread."

I'll probably try it in the next week or so. I know it's at least their second location because I'd seen one on Plank Road while driving out to Tony's one time.

Perhaps I was just taken by the wings which are in fairly short supply in this area.

While Andrew's has cheap wings, they're not hot or even sauced. The closest good wings are probably at TJ Ribs.

Ridiculous that a restaurant with the worst ribs is considered to have the best wings, yet uses the word “ribs” in the name.
