Everyone is looking at it in hindsight but that RF just herp derped it. As I said earlier, if he tags and gets to 3rd everyone gives him credit for being heads up.

He had the opportunity to do both.

Tagging up is what u do there. Cardinal rule you never make the 1st or the last out at third.

No you don't. There are no hard and fast rules like this at higher levels. These "rules" are for people that don't fully understand the game. The RF looked to have a bead on the ball. It's the right call to try to tag and get to third.

you start halfway. if he looks like he has a beat on the ball, then you make your way back to the bag.

buddy at the game says he was tagging the entire way. bad baserunning.

He is supposed to tag there with that ball looking like it would be caught. Can't believe y'all are fricking serious. Every coach would teach to tag there. Not even a debate.

No debate to tag. Completely fine with tagging. It's the right play. He still can score there even if he was initially tagging

I'm surprised Romero didn't head first slide into second.

The fact that no one knows why he didn't score is a strong indicator of the baseball IQ.

Instead of going half way, then running when it dropped, he stayed to tag up to get to 3rd. With one out. Very stupid. Cost them a run.

What are we missing?
nevermind, lol
