I was 19 years old and in a bar in Memphis Tennessee in the middle of the day.
Never forget it.

I still choke up watching it just imagining what WM felt like. Had to be greater than anything other than maybe your first born

I am a diehard football fan first and foremost but this remains my single favorite sports moment I have ever seen in my lifetime. Not just LSU sports moment, but any sports. Thank you Warren Morris.

I was in the left field bleachers, just a little guy. Was my first of back to back CWS trips...even though I've been to many more CWS where LSU has won the whole thing, that first one at 8 years old was BY FAR The best!

It was the year before I married and was watching the game at my house with my fiancé (now wife) and about 10 of my childhood friends and about as many youngsters from our community. Had the couches and chairs arranged around the television and folding chairs on this old mammoth coffee table in the back of the room (called it the upper deck). Had a big empty ceramic pot with an aluminum baseball bat in it and we would "stir the pot" when the Tigers needed some mojo. Right about the time Lanier struck out, I decided to mute the TV and switch to Hawthorne's call on the radio....had one of those huge stereo "stacks" in the rolling glass and plastic cases that everyone had back then. Anyway, I was fiddling with the radio when Warren stepped into the box. When he hit the ball, I clamored over chairs and couches towards the TV...I first thought it was going foul. I knew it was fair and a homer when the fans in the stands converged on the ball. Instantly, everyone in the room rushed to the TV and dog piled in front of it. I came off of a couch and hit my head on the ceiling fan. I remember thinking that the floor was going to collapse with all of the weight in the pile.

I went to the CWS final in 97 but watching the 96 final is my favorite Tiger baseball memory. Beautiful memory!

Fantastic video. That sweet old lady saying,

"Come on Warren, it's up to you baby."

I can imagine my MawMaw(RIP) or any other grandmother in South La say that exact thing.

Apparently my Neurologist shot that. Gonna have to ask him about that.

I sincerely hope that you are trolling, because he was actually on third base.
