How many MLB pitches could you at least foul tip (out of 100 pitches)?

MLB pitcher firing his full arsenal of stuff at you. All are strikes or close to it but pitcher can hit the corners. How many can you get a piece of?
*must take full swing - no bunt or holding bat over the plate allowed.
edit: I changed to all pitches instead of just fastballs.

If you know they're all going to be fastballs you can probably put a few in play once you get the timing.
Hell a decent man could even put a lucky one deep since the pitcher is doing most of the work.

Back when I was much younger, I could make contact more times than not.
Today, not so much.
One offspeed pitch would do me in from a timing standpoint.

If there is no movement, a person who played high school level baseball will be able to make a decent amount of contact after maybe 10 to 20 pitches.

90+, played baseball through college... shattered wrist in a wreck ended career when I was sr...wrist still messed up many years later but I'm not too terribly bad in the cage around 88mph...

I took bp off a major league pitcher(former Tiger,) 4-5 years ago(he had been out of the bigs for 2-3 years,) did pretty well, that is until he sensed that I was catching a proud and started bring the real big league stuff

Knowing that every pitch will be a fastball, I'm pretty sure I'd get the timing down pretty quick. The only thing left is location. Assuming I'd probably miss the first 10 or so, I think I'd make contact with ~50% of the rest, so 40-45. If you let the pitcher mix in some off-speed, slider, curve type stuff, that number goes WAYYYY down.

quote:Correct. If the speed is 92-95 I would put my number in the 80s. 96-100 I put my number in the 60-70 range
