Ben McDonald is a great announcer!!

Dude is country as shite and isn't afraid to be true to who he is which is why I am such a big fan of his!
Just now during the USC/Ole Miss game, they started talking about clothing and style and one of the hosts of the SEC Now show, which is setup in Hoover, is wearing this crazy colored socks. Clay Mathin says, "He's wearing socks that look like a Jackson Pollock painting." (then the dude shows his socks off to the camera and it was actually a funny line.
Ben starts laughing and goes, "That's funny and I don't even know who that is."
I just thought that was funny and wanted to post for those of you who aren't watching this game.

In my limited listening to him, I've been impressed. He seems to do a great job.

I caught that too. Laughs at the Jackson Pollack line but has no idea who Pollack is.

Yes, he is. I've thought this since I started hearing him on the LSU games broadcast on the SEC+ Network. Hope he can move up the ranks.

He's become one of CBB's top 2 announcers with Kyle Peterson. Has a great future with ESPN.

He's very knowledgeable and he always makes fun of himself. That's exactly the kind of person you want as an announcer.

Ben shoots from the hip the entire time he does color and it's never annoying and it's always interesting. He just shoots the shite the whole time and he's good at it.
