METAIRIE— Ian McNulty reports that Warehouse District sushi spot Rock N Sake will open its fourth location at 2913 Metairie Road (a former Discount Land auto store near Causeway) around October. The restaurant has also recently expanded to Baton Rouge and Lafayette. [Advocate]
I mean, Rock n Sake is perfect for the Metry crowd, but that seems like a weird location.

First thought that came to my mind.

It will do well. Old Metairie is starved for restaurants and no competition in the area.

I mean probably, but they aren't a "family" or old people place. Loud music and all that.

I agree it will probably do well, but when is the last time you went down Metairie Rd.? There are restaurants everywhere. I can think of about 10 right off the top of my head and that's just on Metairie Rd.

On the old people subject, I dined a few months ago at Chateau Du Lac on a Saturday night and was thinking that the average age in the place was 66. Kind of surprised at that.
