I'm really interested to see ESPN's broadcast pairings this year. They have a lot of holes to fill.

Spielman has been a mainstay the last several years for ESPN’s college football coverage, most notably forming one of the network’s top teams with Sean McDonough. With McDonough moving on to replace Mike Tirico at Monday Night Football, it means ESPN’s college football coverage has been dealt a significant blow. According to a release, Spielman will cover both the NFL and college football for Fox Sports, working primarily as a game analyst for the NFL on Fox.

The great machine seems to be falling apart, let's see how they recover.

Unlike others they lost, this isn't a loss at all.

The should just have a live twitter feed instead of announcers.

Fox needs some serious help with their feeds, camera work and production . ESPN still dominates in this area despite losing so much on screen talent.

Ironic. Spielman started his career with Fox Sports Net in early 2000's calling Big 12 games.

They're gonna promote Pam Ward and Beth Mowens to prime time games.

How many guys have left ESPN yo Fox?

They all had a similar job at ESPN and that was covering football. Maybe Fox is luring them away with bigger deals and starting to create better and more coverage around football to gain more viewers.

Just a thought. Not too outlandish.

All those tens of billions for broadcasting acquisitions add up over the years, don't they?

Now they can't pay 7 figure salaries on the Reg anymore

ETA: read OP as Chris Berman doubt Spielman made 7 figures, but Bayless, etc did so point remains
