Jerry Glanville, a graduate of Northern Michigan, and someone keeping a close eye on the situation apparently has stated he would be interested if contacted by LSU administration for the vacant DC job. He is now the head coach of Portland State.

I thought Glanville was known for high-scoring offenses, not for defenses.

He orginally was known for defense, whereing black and a love of Elvis. Blitz's from everywhere and often.

While with the Oilers he turned his offense over to Mouse Davis and June Jones and the Run and Shoot. June followed him to Hawaii and the rest is history.

Saban coached under Glanville and that's where he learned alot about blitz and zone dog packages. But you're right I don't want him here. Game has past him by

Miles and Glanville would never get along anyway.

Glanville is too wild.

You left out a couple of stops there.

Glanville and Jones came to coach the Falcons - JG as head coach, JJ as OC. When Glanville was axed, Jones took over as HC. He had the "pleasure" of being part the oft replayed sideline meltdown with Jeff George.

I think (not certain of it though) that June got the Hawaii offer and then asked Jerry to come out there and be his DC.
