Miles on C&P: LSU hosting own camps but sounds like Tulane not invited

Tulane's "partnership" with A&M means they don't get a ticket to LSU's camps. At least that's reading in b/w the lines.. Unsure what Tulane really has to gain by pissing off LSU?

I think that's just LSU's way of trying to keep aTm out of New Orleans. And shunning Tulane is just a happy side effect. The article essentially said if an in state team paired with an out of state team they wouldn't be allowed at LSU's camp.

I doubt Frank Wilson wants Tulane at LSU camps, he is going to try and get every New Orleans kid away from Tulane.

I guess ULM won't be allowed either since they partnered with TCU.

I don't know to what extent ULM coaches participated in the LSU camp in the past. I know Tulane's coaches always did. But I'm guessing this is because A&M is a conference opponent. I don't know if they would exclude ULM for associating with TCU (which is something they could have been doing for several years anyway.)

ULM backed out of that camp with TCU, because they do not want to piss LSU off.

Just saying the article says ULM would be invited, but they're partnering with TCU. Maybe it is due to A&M being an SEC Opponent like you said.
TCU has more Louisiana players than A&M though. I guess LSU doesn't see them as taking the right Louisiana players/not in competition for the same guys.

I think it has more to do with A&M being in the SEC.

Ah, I hadn't clicked the link because I thought it was audio I wouldn't be able to listen to.

I'm kinda shocked Tulane is not partnering with a Big 12 school.
Getting in the Big 12 is their ultimate goal, why not start drumming up favors.

Cool, but I wonder if Texas schools would use the same logic against UTSA for partnering with LSU.

They might, but the biggest difference is LSU owns Louisiana vs multiple big schools in Texas

I knew there was a reason I only supported La Tech besides LSU.

TCU is not a state school, and I read that to be out of state, state school. If it was just out of state schools then LSU would not allowed at LSU's camps since LSU partnered with UTSA.

So the 4th best program in Texas is partnering with the 4th best program in Louisiana. That's nice.
