The scary thing is that he still seems to be improving at the moment though.

But Kershaw has given up double the runs (12) that Arrieta has this season (6)
Kershaw also has 1 more start and 14 more innings pitched....

And that makes up for a 6 run differential? Arrieta hasn't given up more than 2 earned runs in any start and has more games that he's given up 0 than games he's given up more than 1.

There is a lot of noise in a one year sample of ERA. Defense and luck can play a pretty big role.
So can 2 no-hitters in 11 starts.

and? all that can change in 1 game, 14 innings is basically 2 starts for Arrieta anyway

The wild thing is that he seems to improve every year. The only year where his k%-bb% dropped from the previous was from 2011 to 2012.

Since we are discussing my opinions that you vehemently disagree with, I'll throw this out there: Kershaw has two starts this year more impressive than Arrieta's no-hitter from this year.

And has given up twice as many runs. You can pick the flash guy if you want. I'd prefer my pitcher to keep runs off the board.

Kershaw has pitched the equivalent of 2 more games than Jake since Jake does not average 7 innings a start

For sure.

Velo has been around 93 on the FB since he got into the league. And he has an effective pitch selection that should play well even when his velo drops.

Does Kershaw get to 100 ks tonight before he gets to 5 walks. The reds have the third lowest BB%

Yes really....... He is pitching lights out right now.... But he is NOT that good in the playoffs. And you can try and spin it all you want.
