At my old apartment. There would be a truck that rode around picking up scrap metal. Well one day I ran off to work. Pulling out the driveway. I seen the ice chest from Sunday funday still hanging out front. No biggie. Put it up when I get home. These people stole a falling apart ice chest I had for 8 years. I was pissed.

Had a broken mower that I pushed out to the curb and left next to the trash can. While walking up my driveway I remembered that I'd just put a new sparkplug in while trying to get it running. I turned around to walk back to the curb and someone had already picked it up.
Old gas and BBQ grills get snatched up quickly. Doesn't matter how rotted out they might be, they want any wheels or fixtures they can snag off of them.

Same with chairs or any type of table. It can be a stand that use to have a table top on it and someone will take it.

This! I was going to Home Depot and buy some blocks to make a rocket stove, but on the way found a bunch of cinder blocks and other bricks on the side of the road. Picked them up and headed home. Them free bricks cook up a mean steak!
