Yeah, I don't see how they have any other choice. It's lightning and raining hard. Not worth keeping the place open.

Voodoo gave refunds after some days were cancelled due to weather.
What's tough is tickets aren't day specific. Do they refund every unused ticket if they cancel today?
Could be a pretty huge number.

They've already issued safety alerts, which they did yesterday before closing it down.
I think they know they'll shut it down today, but will leave it open long enough to justify not giving out refunds.

It's run by a private foundation not the city

Well in that case no refunds for sure

So what is your definition of a real concert? And how much would that cost? $75 is not exactly cheap and large outdoor festivals are pretty much the only venue to see premier acts these days. This is a worldwide thing. Your blanket insult doesn't even make sense.
It was a joke but somewhat serious. I've seen the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Robert Plant and have paid around 150 and had good seats. I was just messing around but Jazz Fest isn't for me. The food is good though. To each their own. 75 is cheap for a big name now a days.
