You can get some thin plywood to install on top of the shelves and prevent bottles from tipping over...

Anyone use these wire racks for storing their whisky? Did this today, and the one shelf seems to bow a little.

You can go with a plexiglass/polycarbonate board Kind of like this.

btw, that's a damn nice collection.

I have a bottle of W.L. Weller's Cabin Still bourbon my dad gave me a few years back. It belonged to my pawpaw. It was bottled in 1956, and is unopened. Any idea if it is worth anything? I don't plan on parting with it, just curious.

Hadn't seen that before...if it's Stitzel-Weller juice it's gotta be worth a pretty good amount.

Yea, that stuff has got to be worth a pretty penny

ETA: I looked through 3 facebook groups and saw people looking for this juice but none were located for sale or trade. You have a rare bottle there...

It could be worth as much as 5k. Regardless, my suggestion to you is not just sell straight up...get the bottle of your dreams plus cash. I.e. van winkle rye plus 4k. Remember some out there gets numerous bottle of rare stuff on ever really at close to retail, but cant get this bottle.

It's probably 85% full. Maybe a little better. The level is right at the center of the Handmade 90 Proof Bourbon label.

The color is like good sweet tea. Not very dark, but not super light either.

I appreciate all the info. I'll keep digging.

Picked this up in Ponchatoula last night, hadn't seen it around lately so I figured might as well try it out now.

Helluva bottle there. Juice looks clear and sounds like the fill is good, you don't see many like that.
