You got 30 points.
The higher your score, the thinner your bubble. The lower, the more insulated you might be from mainstream American culture.
11–80: A first-generation upper-middle-class person with middle-class parents. Typical: 33.
0–43: A second-generation (or more) upper-middle-class person who has made a point of getting out a lot. Typical: 9.

Big Bang theory is definitely for the unwashed. Dr Phil is probably more highbrow.

I saw a Dr. Phil episode last week while I was home eating and it was very trashy, imo. Definitely for the poors

They should have added ESPN's First Take to that question.

Edit: I am honestly not sure how many people down our street growing up had college degrees. The neighborhood did change over the years. I'd say that less than half in the neighborhood at least the first few years of my life, but probably more than half as I got into high school and the area sort of developed more. Both my parents have at least a bachelor's degree.
After looking up information on the town where I lived, I discovered that it is in fact within a metropolitan area as of 1990. That makes sense, as a good portion of our neighbors commuted to the city for work even though the character of the area where I grew up was very much rural/small town.
In light of this new information, my new score is 34.

See below for scores Charles Murray would expect you to get based on the following descriptions.
11–80: A first-generation upper-middle-class person with middle-class parents. Typical: 33.
0–43: A second-generation (or more) upper-middle-class person who has made a point of getting out a lot. Typical: 9.

I'm not sure if that's true. I guess it just depends on what you're into. If you or your spouse has ever purchased a pickup truck then you probably think so.
