Is the term "Chinaman" offensive?

Call me a cracker, honky, whitey, whatever, it doesn't offend me. I know there are some terms that would probably offend Asians, but is Chinaman one of them?

I don't get how oriental is offensive at all and I'll argue that all day.
But yeah, chinaman does come across as offensive.
