Google Fi users - How is it going so far?

I believe a few of you here signed up for Google Fi cell phone plan? If you came from AT&T or Verizon, how does the service compare to the big two? Do you generally get good reception and data speeds?
Is there any chance this service gets extended to iPhones in the future? Or does Google need to install some special software to be able to switch seamlessly between T-mobile and Sprint, which is only possible on Nexus devices over which they have full control?

I've been using it for about two months here. In the baton rouge area I haven't even noticed a difference between Fi and Verizon. Same for Nola. The only time I noticed anything was when I hit a deadzone on I 10 between Laplace and the end of the spillway bridge. Could still make calls, just wasn't getting any data with my Waze app.

Just started this morning and aside from the snafu with my phone number everything is going well

Switched from ATT. Love it so far, data speeds and coverage have been identical

Been on since October. Zero complaints

Came over from T-Mobile and service is as good or better in Austin. When I drive back to LA, I get service I never got before especially at my Dad's house in Prairieville. Only complaint I have is my text messaging recently is sporadic when at home in my wifi but am pretty sure it is my wifi not Google.

Came from AT&T and I love it. Service and speed have been great and it's good knowing I only pay for what I use

Good. I'm living outside the US and use my phone just like I do at home.

Just hit my 1 year anniversary, love it, very happy.

I'm confused...why do wifi and texting have anything to do with each other on PF?

Because PF uses WiFi not mobile data for both phone calls and texting.

Keep dumbing it down for me haha. Okay I don't need mobile data or wifi on my verizon "service" currently to call or text. PF's service is based solely on wifi?

Mine just came in the mail with my 6p

Because wherever possible PF uses wifi.

No, it's just that if you are connected to wifi, PF routes calls and texts over the wifi. If you are not on wifi, calls and texts work just like other cell services.

As someone that works from home on the PC, it's amazing.
I love answering calls and texts on my PC, never having to use my phone. Amazing integration there.

That was the only thing I really liked about it.
I left Fi about a month ago. I hated the spotty service when on the road and even some areas of dfw. I also hated watching my data when I stream music a lot when I run, workout, and on the road. It just wasn't the plan for me.

No complaints with the service for my area, 3-5 bars LTE pretty much 100% of the time.
Have an iPod for music.
I still use the 1GB data plan and pay a whopping $25 a month.

Have Fi and a 6P for 4 months now and it's great; wifi calling is slightly janky sometimes when it's switching but other than that. It's cheap and I like it.
