frick that Id go there to tear her a new a-hole. We tailgate on the PG and I have a feeling this isnt just for the students. Where specifically will they rope off? What about the other areas student orgs tailgate? They moving them all to one location?

their plan is to probably have reserved assigned spots for everyone just to piss them off even more.
going corporate like Auburn. At Auburn there are like 40 huge tents that people (corporations) buy. Tents tables chairs tvs are all provided and set up for you.

Most here probably won't like my opinion. But our group has been on the Parade Ground for 12 years now. In the last 4 years or so, it's become much worse. I used to be able to work with the fraternity tailgate chair of the 3 groups near us and agree on parking spots, space, pickup and take down.

Now they all just want to be assholes, steal items (beer, food, tailgate equipment), etc. And then not pick up a single item of their trash.

I don't want to see the changes enacted but I hate to tell them, they were asking for it.

Funny, for those in the know, Sabin had a problem with the free for all tailgate atmosphere at LSU. Rumor has it that while he was here, there was talk of a more structured pay per system for the tailgate experience to appease him . More you pay, closer you are to the stadium. Of course there were plans to really spruce up the landscaping and grounds closer to the stadium but you would have to pay for it. Obviously, for some, that is not a problem. The Frat a holes would simply be kicked on down the block to the low rent section with the rest of the yahoos. As one poster stated, there is plenty of real estate to go around.

Was Sabin right? IDK. You would have to ask the Bama fans.

all unintended consequences of the third party vendors at frat houses rule. You forced them out of their houses and into the wild.

I don't disagree that something should be done with how trashy the parade grounds have gotten.

Do you know how big campus is? Huge.

Tailgate somewhere else, parade grounds is dominated by Greeks not family friendly. Sorry if my fraternity, or others ruined your experience but cmon

Yeah, I've never understood why they wouldn't just let them party at their houses before the games.

It used to be really nice. One of the fraternity's tailgate chair gave me his cell number. He'd make sure our tailgate spot was held off if I was running late from work, etc.

Last year I had to call LSUPD on one of them that wouldn't move their pledge from sitting in the only parking spot remaining.

this is a very recent development, like 2010ish and getting bigger every year.

It really should not be that hard for frats to tell their pledges to hang back and clean up.

Those are tough words coming from a kid buying his alcohol and fraternity dues with mommy and daddy's money.

Again. We've been there 12 years and co-existed just fine until very recently.

We aren't exactly old either. So we aren't expecting a "family friendly" location. But common courtesy and such hasn't existed in the last few years.

Tap broke? Need to tie into our generator? Or need more gas, beer pong balls, cups, etc.? We'd walk over and share or vice versa.

Now it's met with a "frick you" when we've asked for something or just a blatant attempt to steal stuff from us.

Unless I'm missing something, it looks like these rules apply to student organizations only. Why don't students just have "unofficial" tailgates and don't affiliate themselves explicitly with an organization?
