Experiences? Any other charter reccomendations for that area? Also, how much does fuel typically cost for a tuna trip?

Haven't used them but one of the first things you will have to decide is do you want to make a long run and chase yellowfin all day and have a chance at maybe catching only one or two....or do you want to stay a little closer and limit out on snapper but also have a change at amberjack, cobia, and many other species that frequent the rigs including blackfin tuna...and everyone will get to catch multiple fish. There were six of us so we chose to stay a little closer and catch fish all day rather than just chance it on just one or two of us catching a yellowfin.

Keep in mind snapper season is closed to commercial fishing on state waters. So if your tuna guide has a reef permit required for tuna can't fish snapper legally except when fed season open.

Been out with Captain Eddie 3 or 4 times now. Always hauling meat back. I think he's one of the top guys out there. Sure, you'll have bad days, but we've been lucky. Seems like the shittier the conditions, the bigger the yellow fins we catch lol. Its usually 350-450 ea for 6 guys. Not sure the actual fuel cost though.

Mexican Gulf Fishing Company with Captain Parker Rodrigue and Captain Kevin Beach. Look them up on the web all info and available dates on there. You will have a great time with them!

Had a buddy use them last year and said they did a great job.

Jordan Ellis is a great captain with them as well. His boat is a 40' Freeman and it kicks arse.

I've been fishing with Capt. Eddie for years and he has never disappointed! I also believe fuel is included in his price up front, instead of boat price plus fuel. Good Luck

I looked into him and he was cheaper than many others so we were a little nervous to book with him. Good to know y'all have had good success with him. There are so many charters it's hard to make a decision without someone's experiences.

If you want to see his pictures, he post his clients catches on 360tuna. A lot of guys on that site come in to fish with him.
