Not sure why they even think that is relevant

Riding a bike amongst Louisiana drivers just seems idiotic

I feel bad for the person who was hit. Hope they are all right.
But FOR GOD' SAKES PEOPLE BATON ROUGE IS NOT A BIKABLE CITY. GIVE IT UP. You cyclists have a death wish all of you.

You don't read too well. The hippie cyclist ran the red light.

Isn't there some law concerning motorized vs. non-motorized, the former having to yield?

Girl hit me as I was walking in a crosswalk where I had the "walk" light downtown a few weeks ago. She was doing exactly this. She was stopped at a red light, intending to turn right.. so her head was turned left as she was waiting for the all-clear to turn right. When no more cars were coming, she just started turning right and hit me (I saw her doing it, so I jumped and just hit the front of her car with my hand). She just sat there in complete shock with her jaw on the ground. She was so shocked that she didn't even apologize or anything.
I'd never ride a bike in Louisiana, and I tend to get annoyed by some cyclists too, but damn people in cars really need to be aware of their surroundings. In the middle of freaking downtown at noon on a weekday? Come on, people. Tons of pedestrian traffic down there.
Just as bad, cars going 50+MPH on Florida Street or Main Street in the middle of downtown.

Yes, bicyclists don't have to obey any traffic laws.

Just because a person is riding a bike doesn't mean they're a hippie. C'mon, man.

You where bitching about how bad people drive and don't look out for hippy cyclist in a thread that was clearly about the hippy cyclist that was in the wrong. Maybe you should have clarified you were just rambling about shite like a woman instead of adding to the thread at hand.

The thread is about a cyclist that was hit. My post was about a situation where I actually know of people being hit by a car.
I was on topic with my post asswipe. How is someone on a bicycle automatically considered a hippy?

Um...kind of appears as though you're the one bitching and rambling like a woman.

I see more cyclists blowing through stop signs/red lights than cars. Just because they are pedaling they act like they don't need to stop if they see no other vehicles coming...but cars do. So they want to be treated like cars on the road but don't actually want to abide by the same rules.
I really don't mind cyclists, for the most part. I just hate the stress it causes wondering if they are going to crash in front of me and I run over and kill one of them.

It's normally fat guys in jacked up trucks with tiny dicks. That's why they can't get over the "lance armstrong" clothes. They'd have to stuff a sock down there.

I'm not saying she was right in running the light. I was just asking about the law. I don't have anything against cyclists. Guys on motorcycles have the same attitude when it comes to the rules. They die a lot too.

There's a three way stop right in front of my house but for the most part it's really only two way traffic. I see cars and motorcycles daily blow through going 30, 40, even 50 MPH without ever hitting the brakes. It's a 30 MPH speed limit.
