Royals- defending World Series champs, they seem to do better than projections recently

Red Sox- Huge addition of Price and Kimbrel, will Hanley and Pablo hit enough for them to make it

Blue Jays- Full season of Tulo plus Bautista, Donaldson, and Encarnacion should be a dangerous offense but will they have enough pitching

Detroit- Added Zimmerman and Upton, will that add enough to Sanchez/Verlander and Miggy?

Astros- full year of Correa, will Dallas improve?

Cardinals- Will health help this club? What to expect from Wainwright, Molina, and Holiday

Mets- Great young pitching can they produce an encore, will they have enough hitting

Nationals- Can they stay healthy? What will Harper do for an encore?

Cubs- added Heyward and Lackey to go along with one of best young clubs. Will their depth be enough, will the young kids continue to develop

Dodgers- Still have the best pitcher in baseball, will they have a second starter emerge?

Giants- it is an even year and they added a lot to the rotation. Will Belt stay healthy with Pence?

my power rankings as of now. Top 3

1. Cubs- so much flexibility in the lineup and field. power, speed, baserunning.
deep starting staff, up and coming bullpen.

2. Mets- the lineup doesnt scare me, but they have the best rotation in baseball and i dont think its close.

3. Nationals- the post sleeper hype team. Really good rotation, best hitter in baseball, healthy Rendon/Zimmerman + Revere/Murphy.

I think the Cubs will end up with the best record.

On paper, it's gotta be the Cubs. The Nationals made some nice additions on offense, and have the pitching. As an aside, I'm anxious to see how many runs/home runs that Orioles lineup will put up. Blue Jays too.

There are a lot of contenders, and here are the teams that seem to be most likely to win 85+ games imo.

Mets
Nationals

Cubs
Cardinals
Pirates

Dodgers
Giants

Blue Jays
Red Sox
Yankees

Royals
Indians

Astros

My favorites are the Cubs, Nationals, and Indians right now.

The AL Central looks like the most unpredictable division to me. Anybody seems capable of winning and the winner may also top out at around 85 wins. I don't think the Royals repeat this year.

Blue Jays will be fun to watch but probably end up the consolation play-in game.

What counts as a full season of Tulo?

Yeah as of now royals are the best team in baseball. Hopefully Red Sox pitching and their young players can play well this season.
