What's the best tasting tomato you've eaten?

I have a couple of spots left in my garden and would like to plant a couple of heirlooms. Any suggestions? BTW, I already planted 1 Cherokee Purple and 1 Mortgage Lifter along with several Better Boys for volume.

Try one of the dark varieties like black prince or a yellow (lemon boy) or orange. The yellows and oranges are bright tasting, and the darker are less acidic.

i love cherry (grape) tomatoes the best. however, I half to cut them in half before eating them. I don't like to bite into a whole one. haha

I did see the Black Prince and the Lemon Boy. Are the yellow one's sweeter?

Not sure of the variety (Cherokee purple is the only one I can recall) but the darker, purple-ish tomatoes are my favorites.

Brandywine is my favorite variety for taste. However, their yield is pretty poor. I usually only get 6-8 fruit per plant.

I have the same problem with Cherokee Purples. They don't make much.

Sungold is a hard to beat cherry variety. Super sweet.

Grew those last year. They're ok. I planted a Sweet 100 this year.

I had some once that were grown on Grand Isle. I think they were Creoles, but don't quote me. I still remember the taste to this day. Really sweet, but had a natural saltiness to them. I'm guessing that's because of the soils proximity to the gulf. I've never had another one like that.

Sun Sugar are def. the sweetest. One little plant produces hundreds of fruit.
Creole and Better Boy are pretty close for full size.
