I am only half way through season 4, but I find Claire almost as despicable of a character as Skyler White in Breaking Bad. Does anyone else feel this way, or am I on an island?

Skyler was WAY worse.
At least frank is on board with her cheating. And Claire is more ambitious and clever.

Yea, she's hard to tolerate this season. She's going into serious bitch mode bc she wants her own political career but in the way she's doing it, she's actually making that seem less likely.

Umm, no. She's actually far more despicable than Skylar White. Skylar didn't know she was marrying a ruthless sociopathic meth kingpin, while Claire knew exactly what she was getting into. Claire is a count and a half. She deserves anything coming her way. Can't say Skylar deserved such a psychopath as a husband.

Claire is hideous looking to me, and a raging hardcore inhuman bitch.

I've been a Claire hater since the beginning and basically hoped she got killed after season 3.

Skyler White had her world turned upside down by a husband who got cancer and started a criminal empire to compensate. 
Claire is a much more conniving count. They both suck, though.

Claire is awesome. I mean she's a mean bitch, but she gets shite done. And she is just like Frank. So Frank can't be too mad at her...that's why he admires her even when he despises her.

I couldn't stand her last season but she's been pretty badass this season in the way she's gotten things done.

I don't find her despicable as a character, at least not more so than Frank. They're both pretty horrible people, but that's kind of the point of the show. I do think that her role in the show is soap opera ridiculous, and it has gone a long way toward ruining the show.

Skyler is so awful that it almost kept me from staying with Breaking Bad.
BB has some of the best worst characters in TV history. It can be absolutely a chore to watch because of how unlikable they are.
Claire is a bitch, but Skyler is the least likable character in television ever, IMO.

frick Both Underwoods. And more to the point frick this show.
If season five isn't the final season im going to stop watching. The show has jumped the shark so many times it's tiresome at this point, but my main complaint is that they face no real consequences for their actions. The show demands you suspend so much disbelief that i have a hard time tolerating it. Outside of the first season, which I enjoyed, the show is a C or B- at best.
There are however aspects that the show does very well, the journalism narratives for example. I've found these storylines to be the most intriguing.
But yeah, if the Underwoods don't finally start experiencing the slow brutal demise they've worked so hard for, I'm going to call it quits. I want them both broken and dead by series end.
