Add a cup of fresh cilantro in the food processor and take away the tiger sauce and that is Pioneer Woman's restaurant salsa recipe.

No offense, but that sounds terrible. Ditch the rotel. Salsa isn't salsa without cilantro.

No offense taken. I'm haven't, nor do I ever intend to make it for you. Your tastes do not concern me. Personally, I think cilantro tastes like 409. Wouldn't make much sense for me to put something in any dish that will make it taste in such a way that would disgust me. But I understand that folks do like it, which is why I suggested it could be added. I'll leave the "authentic" recipes for those too pretentious to realize they can actually make something by either adding or leaving out ingredients that they choose to, to fit their tastes. If we all used the same recipes, everything would pretty much taste exactly the same. And I can promise you I wouldn't like your cilantro salsa.

Cilantro tastes like soap to around 10% of the population, myself included. It's vile stuff.

Struck a nerve I guess. I don't want to try your salsa.

And I'd kill myself if I were one of those cilantro tastes like soap people. You're really missing out.

No nerve struck. I'm just not overly concerned if you approve of my tastes.

And yeah I guess so on the cilantro. My wife doesn't care for it either. She doesn't think it tastes like soap like I do, but she just doesn't like the flavor, so it works well for us. The weird thing is that in some dishes it doesn't bother me at all. I use it in my carne asada marinade, and don't notice the flavor at all. It's just raw in dishes that it gets to me.

I hate raw onions and tomatoes and love them cooked.

We all have our likes and dislikes.

So much so that you typed a whole paragraph of passive aggressiveness to tell me how you don't care

I don't think cooking the salsa is what makes jarred salsa nasty. I don't know about all restaurants, but the famous salsa at La Casa is most definitely 'cooked.'

I'm leaning towards all the vinegar is why jarred salsa is weird tasting.
