That is disgusting. Say what you will, but I'd judge her if she kept much of that.

Don't get me wrong. I don't know the details of the case. I'm not down with people getting away with something if they get caught doing something wrong... but at the end of the day, someone got 55 million for being seen against their will while naked. That's crazy.

Which began a chain of events that was fricking awful for her. Her employer made her give an interview with Oprah before allowing her to resume work. Oh, and she couldn't really resume work because that involved going to college football stadiums full of a-hole kids. I'm sure no one heckled her relentlessly about it. Even today people post horrible comments on every one of her instagram pictures about the video. Her life ain't that easy.

It is a ridiculous amount of damages.
A worker who loses both arms in an industrial accident would get about a million, if that, in workers compensation.

Were you on the jury? You're probably one of those mouth breathers that still hates the McDonald's coffee verdict even though you don't know anything about it.
Anyway, she won't see even a quarter of that. It will be appealed for years and she will settle for less. A lot less. Her lawyers will get 40% plus their costs, so she will end up with about 30-40% of whatever they settle for.
