Did anyone really expect anything otherwise? Expect Jones to be back as well. I'm not sure alleva actually has the balls to fire a coach.

Not really surprising. This was by far her worst season, so she gets one more. If she doesn't turn it around, she's gone.

This is a classic case of "pretty people get treated better."
JJ, on the other hand, really needs to go. He is a good recruiter, but he'll never recruit another superstar again after this season.

To me it confirms Johnny has one more season too. it's so strange because their shortcomings are the other's strength (Nikki is a solid coach, shitty recruiter).
I've supported Alleva on a lot of decisions, but I don't like this one at all. Then again I don't really care for LSU to spend that kind of buyout money for WBB.
I bet they win around 20 games next season if healthy, but who cares? that's not our standard.

Of course she is, Alleva is just a toothless Chihuahua now. No coach is in fear of there job right now. Nikkei is the closest thing to the death penalty for the women's basketball program.

Expect another losing season where her number of scholarship players drops to 6 or 7 again and people say it's not her fault.

What are the expectations for the program?
LSU's administration is completely fricking useless.
Everybody makes excuses. If she would have gotten off her lazy arse and could recruit for the past 3 years, she most likely would not have the kind of team she has today.
But no, as you can see with some more transfers she has coming in, we're gonna be back to the top of the mountain any time now.
I wish some of these people were my bosses.

considering this is the first time she hasn't made the tournament and she's reached the sweet 16 twice, i'm okay with it. id say if she doesn't put together a team next year that is at least a bubble team then she needs to go.
