It would be awesome if he transferred to another SEC school like Ole Miss or Arkansas and caught the game winning TD against LSU.

I'd love to bump this thread so bad.

Why? Are you a retard?

Great young man - wish him the best.

Reality is, this will be the trend as the depth & recruiting levels rise. Lot of very good athletes will move on if they want serious playing time. Position makes no difference. Guys like Quinn can upgrade a position in many places around the country.

Godspeed son, you can say you were a starting WR for the Tigers. Lot of former athletes would like to be able to say that. Look forward to following the next stop on your journey.

This may be a dumb question, but will he finish the semester at LSU academically?

I'd go to bet good money he tears it up wherever he goes, assuming they can throw the forward pass with any consistency.

What part of his game did you think was above average?

for a guy who broke the national record for most receiving yards I expected him to be a little bit more involved in the offense..nonetheless good to to him..hope he finds his mojo

Will be fun to watch and watch so many of the idiots on this site have to eat their words when this kid is tearing it up.

2 things that I'm thinking about this situation.

1. He was going to be on his 3rd WR coach in 3 years. That's not a good way to develop a receiver.

2. I think he must have been waiting to meet with Craig, the new coach, before deciding on transferring.

That crowd surfing pic is still one of the coolest LSU pictures I've seen.

Trey will be playing on Sundays. Take that to the bank. Kid is a dynamite talent.... If only we had someone who could throw accurate intermediate and possession routes. Instead, we have two qbs who get the yips on freaking screen passes, air mail intermediates, but can sure throw it far-ish! Trey could have been the answer to our lackluster throwing game, if we had one.

You're making this statement off of what? A high school highlight tape?

I'm pretty sure that record book isn't up to date. Or something is weird with the site in that his stats don't count for some reason.

From LSUSports.net

quote:

Stands as the national all-time career leader in receiving yards with 6,566 in four seasons at Barbe … Holds the Louisiana state record for career receptions (357) and receiving yards (6,566)

quote:

Recorded 1,967 receiving yards and 23 receiving touchdowns in his senior season, surpassing Missouri’s Dorial Green-Beckham for the national career receiving yards record … A 2014 U.S. Army All-American selection … Selected as a Class 5A First-Team All-State selection three times in his career (sophomore, junior, senior) … Earned MaxPreps First-Team All-America honors … Tallied 115 catches for 2,141 yards and 26 TDs as a junior and 67 catches for 1,220 yards and 12 TDs as a sophomore … Caught 67 passes for 1,238 yards and nine TDs as a freshman

1238+1220+2141+1967= 6566 > 6356(DGB)

His 2141 yard junior year should also put him 5th all time for a single season, but it is not listed.

Plenty of Records Not Listed In NFHS Book
The mistake is due to the LHSAA not having their own official record book.

So I'm going to go with he does have the career reception yardage record.

Granted, count me as one of those that thinks we will not miss him much offensively or on special teams.

Maybe someone won't drop all the third-down passes against Ole piss now.

Jokes aside, classy statement. Good luck to a good kid. Geaux Tigers.
