Thoughts? I seen him in the Senior Bowl playing pretty physical.
I think he'd fit great on this team.

Why does everyone keep posting stuff about CBs? We don't need any corners. We have 10 Corners on the roster. We have way more pressing needs like guard for instance where we 0 on the roster. CB is the 2nd most loaded position on the team behind RB.

Corner is always a need
But it is the absolute last of our needs right now. We need DTs, DEs, LBs, Gaurds, WRs, a kicker and a TE before Corner.

Really doesn't matter who you put back there without a pass rush

Quantity we got.
Quality depth is another matter.
Our #1 went out for the year with injury.
Our #2 had a great first year in the NFL.
Our #3 had I think 3 concussions in his first year.
Our #4 looks to be cut soon.
If they are rated as being good enough to be a #2 or #3 CB for us I for one am all in for quality depth at CB.

How many good, non-broken ones do we have?

Ehhh. I'd put it up pretty high at this point. As others have said, Lewis is coming off a injury plagued year, Breaux is good, and then we have serious question marks behind them. Swann might never play again, PJ never played his rookie year. etc.
I'd say Pass Rush, Guard, and then its pretty much a toss up between multiple positions (WR, LB, DT, More passrush)

Just grab a guy like Harlan miller in the 5th and check it off.

Creating pressure upfront in passing situations and not giving up the 2nd most rushing yards in the NFL might help out our secondary more than adding 1 guy who will have no impact in either of those areas.
Average CB's look real good when a QB is uncomfortable and good CB's get exposed when they are calm and clean.

Thoughts?
I wouldn't mind making a pick at CB if the value was right.
I mean you'll probably see teams chasing D-line prospects after we saw Denver/Carolina slug it out with 2 elite defenses in the Super Bowl.
so maybe you could take advantage with the one of the top cover guys in the whole draft as opposed to say the 4th or 5th best option at D-line?
I don't know.
and you could always come back in the 2nd round to target a D-line player but the trouble there is if they start going early then it might be slim pickings quicker than you think.
we'll see.

just because we add a CB doesnt mean we cant add a pass rusher. You think i dont realize how important pass rushers are? c'mon. Ive been clamoring for 1 every draft the last 10 years

I just happened to reply to you specifically but it was more in regards to an overall opinion that has been echoed by multiple posters.
I think we would be better served by trying to bring in a seasoned veteran at CB versus adding more inexperienced players that need to take their lumps. Greer and Gay were immediate contributors that were seasoned in the league and neither broke the bank to bring in. Breaux was just a diamond in the rough find.
More often than not there are some budding/solid NFL players that are out to prove themselves on their second contract that are just now entering their prime. I think we should try to find one.
Talent on the front 7 generally costs a lot more due to supply and demand and your best chance to land a player of high value there is to land one in the draft considering most teams either don't let those players leave the building...or they get PAID when they do.
Our DL is pretty atrocious from a starter and reserve standpoint outside of Jordan and we definitely still need at least 1 starting LB. This still does not even account for G, WR, and TE.
I understand the draft value argument...but unless someone ridiculous falls quite a ways then you have to ignore the position IMO.
