Keep reading dear.
It's a missed call from a # that's not in your contacts list.
Google said number, if it comes back as a cell phone then I probably am not going to call it back. If it is a business I 'll decide if I want to call back.
What is so important about the call anyways?

I don't understand people who never pick up or return calls if they don't know the number.

because 100% of the time its spam when i do?
eta and answering the call flags your phone number as working so you'll get 10x as many spam messages tomorrow.

I doubt it's 100%, but at least you know. It's not like you are trapped if you answer. I just hang up if it's crap. Sometimes it's a random client, though, so it's no good not being scared of what's on the other end of a phone call.

I made the mistake of telling my dad and brother I hate getting voicemails years ago. To this day they always try to leave a message. It's usually, "hey this is your dad, I don't have anything to say but I know you hate voicemails so kiss my arse".

Just got a call from a random # and I didn't answer. Well I listened to the voicemail and it was the dentist's office reminding me about an appointment.
Not important in the grand scheme, but I surely forgot about the appointment. Wouldn't have been reminded if not for the voicemail. How would they have reminded me of it wasn't set up?

Did you get this in a chain email?
The unknown calls for me are usually split between wrong numbers, work, automated junk and people junk. I get maybe 2 a month. How many do you get?

I have voicemail set up for work.
If you call my cell phone and it's important...call me back again or text me. Otherwise, I'll get to you when I get to you.

Yes, I think there is a subconscious fear in people when they get unknown numbers. They don't want to have to deal with any potential uncomfortable situation.

They used to, along with a certain response to confirm. Don't know why they don't anymore.

maybe they are in need of a new cassette tape for their voicemail box.

The appointment was set six months ago, before I got the echo, dickface.
And I don't because they remind me. Plus my wife keeps all the important dates, I'm along for the ride.
