People who have been to enough big games - whether it's Miami, Dallas, Atlanta or Phoenix - will all say that New Orleans is the best spot. I've been to all of those for major bowls or Super Bowls and the logistics suck.

it should be nola every year but the whining from the rest of the country, who will never attend a superbowl anyway, would be outrageous

I am a local and loyal to Louisiana and I disagree. New Orleans should be in a permanent 4-city rotation with Miami, Los Angeles, and a random site.
I am admittedly butthurt that New Orleans or Miami were rejected for 50 for Bay Area, and New Orleans was rejected for its tricentennial for Minneapolis, only because the NFL has turned the host city competition into "The Annual Roger Goodell Award Rewarding Corporate Welfare."

They need to build a stadium in Vegas so it can host the Super Bowl. It would immediately be tops on these lists, it would be so sick for Super Bowls, Final 4, CFP, college kickoff games, etc.

New Orleans is far and away the vest place for the Super bowl

New Orleans shouldn't host another SB until they prove they can keep the lights on.

You get these articles from journalists because NO has to be the easiest city in which to cover a Super Bowl. The media hotel is next door. All of the additional events are within walking distance or a very short taxi/Uber ride. You can use your expense account for awesome places to eat. All the time you don't spent sitting in traffic can be used to have fun.
And even the pool reporters have it easy, since one team practices at Tulane and one at the Saints facility.
I'm not qualified to say if NO is the BEST city for the SB, but is certainly the easiest and most convenient place to host it.
And as far as the Dome lights, everyone now knows it was Entergy that screwed up by not checking the manufacturer default settings on the equipment installed in the months before.
That won't happen again.

New Orleans is easily the best host, but there are some other good options out there. The problem is the weather- most of the warm weather states have fallen trap to the suburban stadium
Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia would all be excellent places for the Super Bowl- if it wasn't in February (although it wouldn't really matter this year)
Why Nashville has never hosted is beyond me... seems like it would be a great site

I've been to NO, Miami, and Phoenix - NO is the best.
Wonder how long until London gets a Super Bowl?

Everyone saying it should rotation between NOLA, LA, and Miami let me say this.
Don't discount these cities.
Glendale, AZ- Never been there but I have friends stationed right there at Luke AFB and they say it's a great place to host a SB and the roof being open last year was great. The only thing is that last year's festivities were too spread out. The NFL Experience was in Downtown Phoenix versus the parking lot of UoPS and there was also happenings in Scottsdale but the lodging and distance to stadium is not as bad as Miami.
Tampa- I'm partial because I lived there for 16 years will move back after I retire from the Air Force. The best Florida city to host a SB compared to Miami. Hotels are not far from the stadium, you have beaches across the bay in Pinellas County, nightlife in Ybor, and the game is sandwiched between Gasparilla and the Florida State Fair. Tampa should be in the regular rotation not Miami, I'm glad that they were chosen for next year's CFP National Championship at RJS.
Indianapolis- Yes they lucked out with mild weather in 2012 for SB XLVI but Lucas Oil Stadium was voted the best stadium in the NFL, it's in the heart of downtown like NOLA and there are bars, restaurants, and hotels everywhere surrounding the stadium. I think they should host every 6 years and the weather shouldn't matter too much. I can't remember the last blizzard that hit that area or Dayton where I live now.
Atlanta- Another city with everything and should be in the regular rotation but that got ruined in 2000 with the freak ice storm. This is what pushed ole Arthur Blank to build the Sphincter Dome.
San Diego- All they need is a new stadium in Downtown next to Petco Park and you have another rotation regular. As long as the city pays for it.
And about the Rose Bowl, I think they should host again versus the Kroenke Dome in Inglewood. Hell, they hosted the game instead of the Coliseum and the Big A five times and all of those Super Bowls made for fantastic pictures. Anyone agree?

NOLA is easily the best venue for the SB. No need to furhter hash this out. Vegas would be awesome, too. Indy lucked out with the weather, but agree that it should be a regular for the Final Four.
One thing this article got right that nobody can quibble with is that the Dome bloody mary is GOAT bloody mary.
