If you identify as a Democrat, you are a progressive.

Sadly, I have been unable to find a simarly descriptive term for Republicans.

I'm laughing because it's so indicative of the board as a whole. It's like "I have nothing substantive to say, but I know 90 % of the board identifies in roughly the same group as me, so I'm gonna say something, and I'm gonna put it in all caps, and no one is gonna call me on anything because we're on the same team."

Not really.

I did. For years. Recently changed my party affiliation from Democrat to IND.

Poll Progressives today in America and ask them who the biggest threat to their lifestyle would be. I guaran-damn-tee you that the majority would say some form of "White southern christian males".

I really could give a shite what the rest of this board thinks, in general.

Correct.

Republicans today, specifically establishment Republicans, are no different than what the Democrat party was decades ago.

Both parties are taking us down the same path. One is just doing it faster and more efficiently than the other.

Sorry to derail the thread.

I've always been registered independent.

I would disagree, but that's because the vast majority of progressives I know are white, Christian males.

Fair enough.

My best friend is having a boy in a few months. His common-law wife was pushing hard for some shitty -den name, but we convinced her to go with Duane Barrett ___. Not sure I could be a godfather to little pissant Braylen.

My wife and I just had our first son. I wouldnt call her family trash by any means, but they are definitely from a lower social economic class and you should have heard the shite her mother came up with.

Cayden
Teal

Just to name a few. I finally bit the bullet and said traditional, biblical names or quit making suggestions

i told you there is a high cultural bias in our country. the culture of "unique" names is a high indicator of lower class culture

i will guarantee you traditional names face less discrimination than your brandyns and kaidens

Our entire family is biblical/saint names, except for my older sister and that caused a big stink.

My grandpa wrote a letter to her when she was young basically saying, "I never thought I could love someone named _____".

Good times.
