well unless we start to examine culture differently, europe will be under fascist rule. whether this is authoritarian socialism or shaira law is the only question. i do think that european values do create a vacillation between libery and authority.
i'm more concerned with America, who has become so obsessed with progressivism that we started looking towards this very mindset of Europeans as some sort of elevated existence. this is because i am American, but our values are an advancement from this european culture

Muslims are simply apart of the leftist coalition. feminists have to defend them because they can't afford to thin their own herd. freeloaders, LGBT folk, feminists, environmental whackos, minorities, etc. the only group the dems take for granted are blue collar union members and they are potentially going to lose them in this election. It's simply a case of the enemy of my enemy is my friend. anyone who wants the destruction/replacement of the evil white male fits into their group. values be damned.
Bingo.
I've been saying for years:
Progressives really and truly believe their fellow citizens (no matter what country they reside) who do not think like they do ARE THE TRUE ENEMY.
The sooner you come to grips with that reality, the better off you will be.
Look at all the links SFP has pointed out where the Progs "acknowledge" the disasters of their policies by blaming their political enemies.
It is a sick mindset, but one you must understand.
Easy example: See how Obama reacts to a crime by the police or any white person who may be perceived to be on the "right" compared to how he handles "workplace violence" committed by Muslims here.
shite, we are still tearing down statues after a racist shot up a church. Speak ill about Muslims? The DOJ now has laws in place to prevent that.
The examples are endless.

Okay, you say the word is overused, warped, stretched or whatever. While that may be true, it does not mean that racism still does not exist. Let's not play niave

That's not what I'm talking about. I am talking about blatant discrimination. ANd blatant racism

what do you mean by racism?
and racial bias will always exist b/c it's human nature to identify within groups, and race is a very strong group indicator
so if you mean that? then yes
if you mean the contemporary definition (which involves dominant and marginalized groupings as well as race)? i don't know
much of what modern america considers racism is really cultural in nature and has little to do with race. those same cultural traits are criticized across all races, genders, etc. the issue is that a disproportionate amount of black americans identify with and proliferate this culture. if i had infinite money i would go around teaching good culture and running longitudinal studeies showing how groups who reject elevated culture will fail and their economic standing is their fault

I don't actually give Sharia law long term. There isn't the population to support it in Europe. It is far more likely that authoritarian fascism will return.

Let me give you a couple of examples. Being turned down for housing simply based on color. Not getting calls back on resumes with equal experience and education based solely on a traditional black name versus traditional white names. Google black versus white resume study. How about schools in predominantly poor black neighborhoods receiving less resources relative to schools on poor white neighborhoods. These are all documented. Explain those away.

That's pretty much what I'm talking about. Favoring one's own race over others can easily be said to be discriminatory and racist.

I find nothing funny about it. At all.
It is a sad reality.

you must really hate this country

Not at all. I just despise racism. I don't feel guilty about being a white male at all.

quote:I'm not sure that is racism. Names have power in and of themselves. I would ascribe that more to classism than racism. Middle-upper class blacks tend to name their children what white society sees as "regular" names.
Not getting calls back on resumes with equal experience and education based solely on a traditional black name versus traditional white names.
Also, these names you refer to as "traditional black names" aren't exactly traditional.

I'm laughing because it's so indicative of the board as a whole. It's like "I have nothing substantive to say, but I know 90 % of the board identifies in roughly the same group as me, so I'm gonna say something, and I'm gonna put it in all caps, and no one is gonna call me on anything because we're on the same team."
And no, I don't identify as a "progressive."

This illustrates my previous post. This is completely normal human behavior.
